Local Favorite Hotspots

From The Central Station Team We Know You'll Love

Downtown Phoenix presents boundless opportunities, from culinary havens to casual date night spots. Take a look at our team’s top recommendations!

Tara Eno

Area General Manager

Carry On is perfect for those seeking a casual and fun date night. For delicious bagels and burgers, check out Stoop Kid, located in Church Hill—an area known for its quick eats, great drinks, and friendly social atmosphere.

My favorite two spots are Blanco and POMO! Blanco offers a relaxed atmosphere and decadent dishes, from Chimichangas to their spicy Tiger Shrimp Fajitas. Meanwhile, POMO Pizzeria combines a love for authentic Neapolitan pizza with the local culture of our Arizona community! Stop by either location for a quick bite.

Nikki Adams

Assistant General Manager at The Maeve

Two of my favorite spots near us are Palma and Compass Arizona Grill! Palma is about a ten-minute walk north and has a very cute atmosphere with amazing espresso martinis. Compass Arizona Grill is about a 5-minute walk south/east and is on the top floor of the Hyatt Regency – it actually rotates while you’re dining! It has delicious food and is a fun experience!

Roosevelt Row is downtown Phoenix’s art district. It’s a walkable distance from Central Station and offers an array of art galleries, bars, restaurants and boutique shops. The neighborhood is lined with vibrantly beautiful murals, making it an art lover’s paradise that anyone can appreciate.

First Fridays Art Walk is one of my favorite events that happens on the first Friday of each month. This signature attraction showcases local art, food trucks, and live music and gives locals and visitors the opportunity to capture the essence of downtown Phoenix’s diverse culture.

The Valley Bar, located about a 10-minute walk from The Maeve, is a vibey nightclub that hosts fun concerts and offers a relaxed atmosphere.

PHX Cat Cafe, also a 10-minute walk from The Maeve, is a laid-back cafe with an $18 entry fee and a selection of hot and iced coffee drinks available for purchase. All profits go towards the rescue, and every cat in the cafe is adoptable!

Ziggy’s Magic Pizza Shop features a hidden bar and dance area at the back, complete with a small DJ booth that plays a different genre each night. Meanwhile, Novel Ice Cream offers spontaneous and unique sweet treats!
